Forest Whitaker and rapper Lil Wayne will be starring in a motion picture together called “The Patriots” but it’s not based on hurricane katrina facts. The film will portray Wayne as a basketball player named “Lamont” that was part of a team of players from five different schools before the storm demolished New Orleans. I can tell you right now that the soundtrack will be hittin and Weezy is recording songs for it right now.
Forest Whitaker, who is currently staring in ‘Street Kings’ with The Game & Common, will play the coach of the team who is trying to lead them to a state championship. The movie is loosely based on a true story and was written by Robert Eisele who wrote ‘The Great Debaters’ which starred Denzel Washington. Tim Story, director of ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’, will direct the flim which is due in theaters around Thanksgiving. Lil Wayne is currently on top of the music world with his single “Lollipop” currently #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart and on MTV’s ‘TRL’.
