With the borders being wide open it’s pretty obvious that we are now going to have to recognize Spanish rap artists in a great abundance. I’m not a politician so I don’t get involved in who is an illegal alien or legit. I just state the facts. Just as the huge retail moguls like Wal-Mart are giving way to the Spanish so will follow the hip hop nation. If you don’t think this is going to happen you are dreaming or smoking some really good weed. Mark my word that Fat Joe as a Puerto Rican don will have to share the thrown with another rapper of color and it will more than likely be a Spaniard.

Readers have been asking me what rappers real names is becuase they want to know just how far away these artist have went from the government name. I mean T.I. is called Clifford Harris by his mother and 50 Cent is better known as Curtis to his family. Check out the names of some other famous rappers and singers. Method Man has always been a hot rapper in the hip hop world of things. Everybody knows that it took somebody like Redman to hook up with him to keep the flow ini check. They made great music together and it is all classics today.

After being in the industry for 15 years, Method Man isn’t too pleased with the music scene today.

The former Wu-Tang Clan rapper, who makes a guest appearance in 1994-set comedy-drama The Wackness, says the best time for hip-hop and rap were in the early 90s.

“The music was way more grounded than it is today. Today, you don’t feel the movement. Back then, you felt the movement,” he recalled to reporters in New York.

He added: “I mean, the whole hip-hop movement. Like when Wu-Tang Clan came in, it was like regardless of where we went, people knew who we were. Or if we were in a new city, there was one person who knew who we was, and that would spread to ten more people, and so on and so forth, up until it was, ‘Oh, you ain’t up on that Wu-Tang stuff? Oh you ain’t down homie!’

“Same thing with Cash Money, No Limit, Death Row – it goes on and on, all these movements. You don’t have that any more.”

Gucci Mane has been off the charts for a minute but will soon be in the streets. For some reason people like this rapper from Atlanta area.

Gucci Mane will soon have a compilation album of unreleased material through Atlanta’s Big Cat Records on September 23rd. The album, Hood Classics, will have old tracks that never leaked plus a cool “2008 So Icy” Remix. Young Jeezy, Killer Mike and Bun B will also appear on the album. A 35-minute DVD that features never before seen footage of Gucci Mane will come with the album.

De La Soul has been doing tours overseas getting that foreign paper and working deals with Nike on shoes like the De La Soul Nike Dunk High’s. Here is a video of them speaking on the situation.

So who are famous rap artist that they can allegedly smoke weed, try and buy machine guns, burn houses, rape women or and beats or jewelry? I’ll tell you who they are. These guys are entertainers and that’s it they are not role models or public icons. I constantly have to remind my son of these things because he listens to them all the time. No way am I going to let rap music raise my boy. There is a huge difference between entertainment and responsibility and most of these rappers forget that. Not me though!

Lately it seems like the best songs are from rappers like Lil Wayne, Joell Ortiz or Lupe Fiasco who are doing freestyle flow raps. Why? Well when you just drop a beat and go right off the dome somehow the rhyme just feels and sounds much better. I’m not even sure if there are any real artist who can write great songs anymore. Nas, Common and Kanye West are a dying breed that are trying to do what they can while they have the spotlight. Freestyling on a microphone is not easy and the best to ever do it live or for commercial recordings is Jay-Z and that is a pure fact.

Women in rap videos are getting more and more raunchy and it seems that the rap society does not care. To be honest I don’t think anybody cares especially Record Companies and Television Stations. Well one does and that MTV but it only depends on if you are watching MTV 1 or MTV 2. These chicks are off the hook with the bikini thongs and the boy shorts shaking all that booty. I would like to be a camera man on a rap video set for at least 2 or three hours. The official name is video vixen but on the streets they are simply high class digga’s. I wonder how bad it’s going to get by 2010.

Listened to a rapper get crushed in a rap battle room today over at Let’s Beef a website about battling. Man there is some really great unsigned hype that exist in the United and abroad. Every now and then I like to cruise over to this site and check out who is on top and who is challenging. It’s 100 times better than what you may have watched on BET’s contest when people like Jin were flowing.

So what do other rappers think of Eminem and are they able to bring him down from his thrown created by Dr. Dre’? Well I don’t think they will because other hip hop artist love The Great White Rap Hope. Plus Eminem has crazy skills when it comes to rapping and producing. He will be dropping another album soon and he will sell another couple million albums going Triple Platinum minimum again. Name one Caucasian rapper that can take off fours years and prepare to release another album and be certified Platinum and everybody knows it.
